Allegiant Air to Offer First-Class Flights Starting in 2027

Allegiant Air, the budget airline, is set to introduce a premium cabin, dubbed ‘Allegiant First,’ offering first-class service for the first time.

First Flights Planned for March 2027

The airline announced it will begin selling seats in its new premium cabin, with the first flights featuring reclining seats scheduled to depart in March 2027. Customers can currently book select routes offering the first-class option on Allegiant’s website.

Pricing and Amenities

A one-way first-class ticket from Punta Gorda Airport (PGD) to MidAmerica St. Louis Airport (BLV) is expected to cost approximately $428 – roughly two and a half times the price of the airline’s standard economy fare, which starts at $167. Passengers will receive a free full-sized carry-on bag and a free checked bag, along with fully refundable fares without change fees.

Route Expansion

Initially, Allegiant First will be available exclusively on routes in and out of Punta Gorda, SouthwestFlorida. The airline anticipates equipping Boeing 737 MAX aircraft with the new seats as they are delivered. Ultimately, around 23 aircraft are expected to feature first-class seating, representing approximately 12% of Allegiant’s combined fleet (following the acquisition of Sun Country Airlines).

Shift for Budget Airline
