United Airlines is resuming flights to Venezuela, marking the first commercial service between the US and Caracas in nearly a decade.

Daily nonstop service begins august 11 from houston to caracas

Following a seven-year hiatus, American Airlines recently resumed flights between Miami and Caracas, paving the way for United's return. The US government lifted a 2019 travel ban on Venezuelan flights earlier this year.

United's Houston-Caracas route aims to cater to both Business travelers and Venezuelan families reconnecting with relatives. 'This flight will strengthen cultural and economic ties across the Americas and reinforce our Houston hub as a gateway to the region,' said Patrick Quayle, senior vice president of global network planning and alliances.

United's Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft will operate the daily flights, departing Houston at 11:45pm and arriving in Caracas at 5:30am the next day. The return leg departs Caracas at 8am and lands in Houston at 12:30pm.

Airfare for the inaugural flights, available to book now, starts at $1,465 for a round-trip journey in September.
