JD Power Ranks Airport Lounges, American Express Centurion Leads
Travelers are increasingly seeking out Airport lounges for amenities like comfortable seating, meals, and exclusive settings. A new study from JD Power analyzes lounge networks, focusing on overall customer satisfaction across eight key criteria: perceived value, staff, food and beverage, cleanliness, amenities, ease of access, ambience, and Wi-Fi quality.
Lounge Network Rankings
American Express’ Centurion Lounge network topped the rankings with a score of 771 out of 1,000, followed closely by Capital One Lounges in a tie. Chase Sapphire Lounges came in third at 764, with Delta Sky Clubs (including Delta One lounges) at 763. British Airways lounges scored 751, Air France 746, Alaska Airlines 737, United Clubs and Polaris Lounges 702, and The Club lounges 650.

Methodology Changes
This year’s study incorporates airlines’ premium business-class lounges (like United Polaris) into the broader lounge network assessment, expanding the scope from last year’s focus on individual clubs. Data was collected from surveys of 2,991 travelers who visited U.S. Airport lounges between April and June.
Traveler Priorities
Nearly 40% of travelers use lounges primarily for better value on food and drink, while 45% view them as an escape from the busy terminal. The average lounge score across the U.S. was 732.
